This study examines how leaders' personal attributes, including their openness to change and dispositional resistance to change, along with their transformational leadership behaviors, influence employees' intentions to resist organizational change. Through a multilevel analysis of data from 75 school principals and 586 teachers, the findings reveal that employees' resistance to change is negatively associated with leaders' openness to change and transformational leadership behaviors, and positively associated with leaders' dispositional resistance to change.
