This work is a translation of selections from two of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya's books: "Key to the Blissful Abode" (Miftah dar al-sa'ada) and "Remedy for Those who Question on Matters Concerning Divine Decree, Predestination, Wisdom and Causality" (Shifa' al-'alil fi masa'il al-qada' wa'l-qadar wa'l-hikma wa'l-ta'lil). In these writings, Ibn al-Qayyim discusses the wisdom behind God's creation of humanity and the existence of evil, emphasizing that everything in the world is either purely good or leads to a greater good.
