This study examines the relationship between supervisor ethical leadership (SEL) and employee organizational citizenship behaviour (OCB) within the banking and insurance sectors in Spain. The findings indicate that SEL is directly and positively associated with both job satisfaction and affective commitment. Furthermore, the relationship between ethical leadership and employee OCB is fully mediated by job satisfaction and affective commitment, highlighting the pivotal role of these factors in enhancing employee citizenship behaviours.
